Oaxaca recibe a Lara Bossinger
I am a third year PhD student of Prof. Littelmann in Cologne. My main areas of research are representation theory and algebraic geometry. I study toric degenerations of varieties that are interesting from a representation theoretic point of view: for example, Grassmannians, flag varieties, or Schubert varieties. I enjoy working with combinatorics arising from various constructions of toric degenerations and want to understand how different approaches are related to each other. My research includes the study of Newton–Okounkov bodies, Khovanskii bases, tropical geometry, and cluster varieties.
Es invitada del Dr. Alfredo Nájera Chávez para realizar investigación e impartir la conferencia “what is tropical geometry?” en el “Workshop on Cluster Varieties and Mathematical Physics” y la plática “An introduction to toric degenerations” en el Coloquio Oaxaqueño de Matemáticas.
