“Converging Riemannian Manifolds”
Prof. Christina Sormani, Lehman College and CUNY GC
Auditorio "Alfonso Nápoles Gándara"
Viernes 3 | 12:00 horas
Resumen:
We will survey a variety of notions of convergence for sequences of Riemannian manifolds including Lipschitz Convergence, Gromov-Hausdorff convergence, and Intrinsic Flat Convergence. We will provide examples of sequences of manifolds which converge or do not converge with respect to these various notions. We will present various compactness theorems including work of Gromov, Sormani, Wenger, Perales, Portegies, Matveev, Basilio, and Dodziuk.
