"Rationality criteria for fourfolds"
Resumen: An algebraic variety is rational if it admits a birational parametrization by affine space. Techniques from Hodge theory and algebraic cycles make it possible to distinguish rational and irrational members in families of smooth projective fourfolds. However, we still do not know precisely which cubic fourfolds are rational! Recent breakthroughs on the irrationality of general cubic fourfolds have sparked new interest in these long-standing questions.

"Basics in Quantum Cohomology and blowup"
Resumen: This talk aims to introduce the concept of Quantum Cohomology following an axiomatic treatment of Gromov-Witten invariants. We discuss some examples. Then, we explain how one can build an "A-model F-bundle" from this data and describe its behavior under blowup. This introductory talk is aimed at providing the minimum knowledge to start thinking about the new theory of Atoms by Katzarkov, Kontsevich, Pantev, and Yu.
